Each year since 1983, the NCA has honored the top producing stud dog and brood bitch. To earn this award, the sire and dam must have produced the greatest number of offspring earning AKC championships in that particular year. Yet many outstanding sires and dams, which also produced numerous champion get in those years, went unnoticed, despite their contributions to our breed.
The following 101 dogs and bitches are the top producing stud dogs and brood bitches for 2000 through 2005. Following each name is the number of champions they produced during that particular year. Many of these stud dogs and brood bitches have obtained the distinction of qualifying for a Register of Merit. Please join the Awards Committee and the Breeders Education Committee in celebrating these outstanding Newfoundlands!
